I know this is not a clear picture, but I don't have proper lighting and the flash would not let me pick up the face in the ring. I will retake this when I have better lighting. I have had this Opal ring since my Grandparents celebrated their 75th Wedding Anniversary (yes 75!!). That was back in 1986. They were married on July 11, 1911. They were originally to be married on the 12th, but Grandpa heard roomers that his fellow railwaymen were going to kidnap him and lock him in a boxcar and send him off to wherever! So they got married a day early and took the train from Dutton to St. Thomas and spent their honeymoon at the "Empire Hotel" Grandpa always had nice stories to tell.... Now if you remember that hotel, it tells me you are at least my age and probably have a few stories yourself ;-)
I already see things in a different light and look forward to learning how to capture nature and my surroundings at their best and just enjoy this new hobby to the fullest. UPDATE: I HAVE NOW BEEN WITH THIS CLUB FOR 5+ YEARS AND HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH FROM THE MEMBERS AND PRACTICING. I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR HELPING ME MOVE FORWARD WITH YOUR POSITIVE ENCOURAGEMENT. LIFE IS GOOD!
